It's your call to make
On mourning the life you thought you'd have, betting on yourself, and why starting over is not the same as failing.
Showing up a little differently today—and honestly, it feels more like me. Especially in this current building era.
Decided to switch up my approach for sharing in my newsletter. The format’s gonna be a bit different than what you’ve experienced with me.
The audio is where I think out loud. What's below is what's been sitting with and stirring in me.

This section is the sum of thoughts, beliefs, things I’ve noticed, and things that won’t leave me.
~Are you done playing it safe? We’re in the second half—it’s time to lock in~
The way creating a fragrance brand has taught me even more patience than motherhood. It goes hand in hand with the level of patience that I am learning. Because I want the fragrance to smell perfect immediately, even though I know it takes four weeks to mature.
Four weeks to mature. Yet…I'm watching the clock as if that changes anything. There's something in there about the whole build: you can push, you can obsess, you can check on it every day. But you can't rush the thing into being ready. That part's not up to you.
~ Life can chew you up and spit you out if you let it. Life can also be the most beautiful, vibrant, awe-inspiring experience… if you let it. ~
Speak positivity and optimism over your life. Your consciousness wills things to happen ~ what you feed it is what will grow. Plant abundant seeds.
~ They told us to go to college. Get the degree—bachelor’s, master’s, associate’s, whatever the next level was. So we did. What they didn’t tell us was that we’d be walking out the other side of that decision with $50,000 in debt. Some people I know are closer to $100,000. And I’m sure there are people whose number is even higher than that—just from doing the thing we were told was the only right thing to do.
We weren’t taught that there were other paths. We were taught that the other paths were less than. That anything outside of the traditional route meant you hadn’t tried hard enough, dreamed big enough, or come from the right kind of family. So we followed the map that was handed to us—and then spent years paying for it in more ways than one. ~
Most people aren't unhappy. They're just living a slightly watered-down version of their life. And they've been doing it long enough that it started to feel normal.
That deep-down feeling that something's missing even though everything looks fine? That's information worth exploring—doing the inner work before making changes to your outer world.
I hope you enjoyed this issue.
You deserve to be Beyond Fine.
~ Crys
P.S. I’m working on something to guide people to go Beyond Fine.

You’re so right to say that we were told to go the traditional path of getting an education rarely are we ever encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship or to imagine a different way.
I love that you mentioned the fragrance you’re creating and how that is teaching you more about patience than being a mother. It is quite ironic how every experience requires some level of patience, exploration, and curiosity. All the while pushing us towards growth. Nothing worthwhile comes easy, huh?
I’m looking forward to what you’re building and creating in this season of change. Change is where truth growth happens.
